six months.

Being in a relationship sometimes can make you do crazy things. These crazy things include, but are not limited to: stopping your whole running regime, getting a cat, buying a fairly expensive road bike and rarely using it, becoming a gardener, gaining ten pounds, spending travel money to meet his parents, sharing 750 square feet with boy stuff, suddenly having a reduced interest in blogging or television, moving in with him. And loving him. Dear you hear that? I’m moving in with him. Not like it’s been for the past ten months or so where he owns his own place and sees it a few times a week for a cumulative 2 hours, but really inhabits your place, even when you’re not home. We’ve signed a lease together, will be sharing bills and a living space for real. We are packing up our things together- there are no more secrets (even those Buffy comics)! And I’m not even freaking out! A little over a year ago, had you told me the guy I’d just met would be my roommate, I would have accused you of crazy talk. I didn’t do roommates anymore, let alone think it was possible a guy would want to live with me.

So, that’s been my past six months. Not much in my life has changed except the marital status of my sister and a minor weight gain. Which is why I thought it would be a good time to start this little blog of mine up again: things are about to change BIG TIME in my life and the little blogger (maybe the writer and a little bit of the nurse) in me really wants to document it. I’m going to try to head over to other blogs, but lord knows, I’ve been reading like crazy lately and I rarely “have time” for anything else. But, mainly, this will be for me- an opportunity to write, which I think will be good for me, and to talk about the stuff that’s important to me: my love, reading, exercise, traveling, the cat, and maybe even some television again.

With that, I’d like to bid farewell to Blood, Guts, and Melodies. It’s full of things I’d like to leave behind (ie negative boy crap) and I don’t even want to put an emphasis on my occupation. I have enough of that in my life as it is. Goodbye BGM! I’ll be moving to a new domain shortly.

Dear Hallmark,

It’s November 9th. Your music and ornaments and Christmas cheer are going to start making me look like a crazy person. You know, the kind that listens to Christmas music before Thanksgiving. Do not tempt me. I bought a bunch of sweaters to holds me over, but I can only take so much before I give in and get out the tree. Maybe I need need to just stay away from the mall for a while?

day six: bandless saturday

It’s Saturday. I don’t have band, I’m not working. It’s November. It’s awesome.

In less than 12 hours, we went to a farmer’s market, had breakfast, checked out some awesome townhomes and condos, took a long bike ride, and made some completely homemade chicken noodle soup. Now we’re watching the Cats get their asses kicked by Stanford. If we get our act together in the second half, this might just be the perfect day.

I’ve made a decision to ignore the election results for the remainder of the day. No wonder I woke up nauseated.

Halloween 2010: Drove to Madera Canyon for a picnic, some Boggle, and some down time with Tim.

Came home, made dinner and pumpkin pie, carved our last pumpkin, watched “Invasion of the Body Snatchers,” and had three Trick-or-Treaters.
